Membership Covenant: May 1, 2009
“We, the members agree to:
- Love God (as revealed in Christ)
- Keep Christ as our first allegiance
- Love and pray for each other
- Love Jan and Pastor Tom Everton and pray for them
- Attend worship on a regular basis
- Listen with an open mind to ideas from other members and our Pastor
- Support our congregation financially
- Attend Fellowship and Retreat events
- Not participate in Gossip
- Lovingly approach each other when conflicts or hurt feelings occur. When the conflict cannot be “resolved,” both parties are to choose (together) two (2) other members (whom both parties trust) to assist with reconciliation.
- Welcome “anyone” into our fellowship who loves Christ
- Spend at least (5) minutes each day in prayer
- Practice forgiveness and loving-kindness
- Not carry grudges
- Always seek what’s best for our congregation.”
